A ring aryballos with a frieze depicting an ibex, panther, and sphinx. Foliage around the exterior, with concentric bands around the body. Condition Minor surface wear including chipping and scratches.

Literature

Ring aryballoi were used to hold and pour precious oils and perfumes. The shape became particularly popular in Corinth from the 7th century BC. For a similar example with a panther see Beazley Archive Pottery Database no. 1008770.
