Dr Hugh Alderson Fawcett (1891 - 1982) Collection, UK. Fawcett was a dedicated amateur archaeologist and some 7,000 pieces from his collection have resided in the Bristol Museum and Art Gallery since 1979. Before this, during the 1960s and 1970s he sold a number of works from his collection at Sotheby's. Desmond Morris Collection, Oxford, acquired in the early 1970s at Sotheby's, London.
