For further discussion see M.K. Risser, Corinth VII, 5. Corinthian Conventualizing Pottery, Princeton, 2000. Cf. pl. 6, no. 64 for a similar ornament on the shoulder; for the black and red stripes below the lotus & palmette, cf. pl. 24, no. 403; and for the vase as a whole (albeit an oinochoe), cf. pl. 31, no. 500. The latter is dated to the third quarter of the 6th century, but the Kallos example is a little later, in the 4th quarter of the 6th century BC.
For the Painter of Berlin F 1090 see D.A. Amyx, Corinthian Vase-Painting of the Archaic Period, p. 175-177, California, 1988. For a full discussion of the type and similar examples; J.
