A Roman pale blue glass cinerary urn with lead lid

Early Dynastic Period, circa 3100-2686 B.C.

The ovoid vessel has been carved from a black and white speckled stone with the interior well-hollowed, there are twin pierced horizontal lug handles on the shoulders, the rounded rim is offset and vessel stands on a flat base

17.1 cm high
