Education and Outreach Update

Kallos Gallery is delighted to announce the appointment of Paul O’Mahony to lead its Education & Outreach projects. Paul is an actor and writer, and the artistic director of Temple Theatre. He studied Classics at Oxford and recently directed Much Ado About Nothing in the US in his role as Eminent Artist-in-Residence at the University of Wyoming.

Paul has previously worked with the gallery on several events since its opening, delivering readings for Professor Chris Pelling’s talk on ‘The Warrior Within’, in June 2014, and giving his own take on the Iliad with ‘Raging about Achilles’, in April 2015. In September he brought Temple Theatre’s production of UNMYTHABLE to the gallery for a great night of mythical entertainment.

As well as extensive work in theatre, Paul has been involved in educational outreach for twelve years, with a particular focus on the Classics. Paul said:

‘I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining Kallos – what an incredible place. I can’t wait to introduce this gallery and its beautiful works of art to a wide range of students.’

Plans include more schools visiting the Davies Street gallery in the coming year, as well as Paul visiting schools with exciting presentations and some of the gallery’s stand-out objects.  For further information, please click here, or contact education@kallosgallery.com
